Meeting called to order by Paulina Flint, Vice- Chair, there
was a quorum. Excused Ralph Cooley, Troy Blundell and Greg Schultz.

Welcome, Introductions and then Pledge of Allegiance was led
by Jeremy Christensen.

Kay Dickerson presented the September 2nd, 2009 minutes for
approval. Gene Robinson made a motion to approve the September 2nd Minutes.
Motion was seconded and approved.

Jeremy Christensen gave the Treasurer’s report for September.
Paul Smith made a motion to approve the report. Motion was seconded and
approved. Check for copy costs of $14.75 needed for today. Jeremy made a
motion to approve the costs. Motion seconded and approved.

Sheriff’s Report. Brody Waldrum was not at the meeting now but
will be here later. Paulina Flint said that the Unified Police Department will
be offline for the Municipal Services Taxes for the time being. Unincorporated
areas funding is $7 million for about 170,000 people. The rest $55 M will be
coming from sales tax. The UPD will be official on 1 January 2010. The County
does not want to do the same funding as the Unified Fire Authority.

ACCT Paulina Flint gave the report for ACCT. Had a good
meeting with the County Council. Need people for a Planning and Zoning
committee to help reestablish a working relationship with the County on
Planning and Zoning. Need people to help work on the wilderness committee to
help the canyons work on problems. Motion by Don Patocka to support Big
Cottonwood Canyons Citizens Association in their efforts to work this problem.
Motion seconded and approved. We need volunteers to work Municipal Services
committee to help set up rates for unincorporated areas to pay for services.
ACCT training will be January 9, 2010. Planning and Zoning, Aging Services,
Budgeting and Accounting need to be covered.

Bev Uipi of the Salt Lake County Mayor’s Office-Troy Blundell
is our Emergency Volunteer Coordinator. First meeting will be October 29 from
5 to 6 pm. Budget Town Hall meetings will be held the first part of November
to take the budget to the general public. It will be covered in four
quadrants. The Mayor’s Open Door will be on November 19, 2009 from 5 to 6:30
pm. You will have 10 minutes with Mayor.

Granite Township, Transportation, Granite School District Bond elections, tax
projections.

Sheriff’s Report Brady Waldrum-Water Company doing
construction on Galena and some signs have been removed by vandals and need to
be located. Also when Alta View lets out of school there is some traffic
problems being created on the South side of the school on Larkspur and people
need to be cautious in the area. Granite has had a lot of non-forced entries
in the area and they are encouraging everyone to lock up and close doors. Do
not leave items of interest out in the open and readily available to people.
Bell View crossing guard on Galena was almost hit while helping the children
due to excessive speed. Officers are very visible in area

New Business- Paulina Flint made a motion to have a traffic
survey on Galena for speed control. Motion seconded and approved. We would
recommend speed bumps. Larkspur and Zinnia have trees and shrubs along side of
street that are obstructing view.
