- Unified Police Report. Officer Green of the UPD made a report. The
report for November was 137 calls and 53 cases, which is down from other
months. Calls were mostly public order. A report was given on a young man
that was riding a long-board down Sego Lily and at the intersection of poppy
Lane a car was turning and they collided. The Young man was taken to the
hospital. We all need to be more cautious now with the shorter days.
- ACCT report-Paulina Flint discussed a meeting that was held to discuss
the future of Salt Lake County and the movement to make Wall-to-Wall cities
and include Municipal Services. Don Patocka made a motion to have Paulina
Flint present to ACCT the following position:”The refined definition of
Wall-to-Wall Cities constitutes a clear and present danger to the
coordination of the municipal type services of Salt Lake County; and
constitutes an affront to all taxpayers and residents of the cities and the
unincorporated county. The White City Township Community Council opposes the
inferences of the definition and urges all cities and unincorporated
communities to oppose this with all means needed and necessary.” Motion was
seconded and approved.
- New Business-Item that was discussed about Neighborhood cleanup last
month about raised joints in sidewalks. Kay Dickerson mentioned that in
discussions with Michael Shea and Phil Bernal from Salt Lake County only ONE
street would have the joints ground down for now. There is still the
question as to why all the other joints were marked. Jeremy Christensen made
a motion to have Paulina Flint take a motion to ACCT to request the
following:”White City Township Community Council requests the Salt Lake
County Mayor and Council expand the RFP for Municipal Services Study to
include all the cities who would volunteer to serve on the steering
committee for the study. Any city who will not submit their information for
comparison in the study SHALL not be allowed to participate in the steering
committee and study process.”Motion seconded and approved. Michael Shea
mentioned that the Chairs breakfast is next week Wed Dec 14. Mayor’s open
door will be the next day. There is a meeting with the County on sidewalks
