  • Legislative report-Paulina Flint mentioned that they have moved all of the money bills to later in the calendar. There is a busy schedule and HB 502 is still being discussed and we still need to support others at the meetings on the Hill. Bill passed 48 to 25 and is now in the Senate. We still need to work on the Senate. ACCT meeting tomorrow and we still need to keep awareness of the bill coming up again. Not high enough priority for the Senate and it may die a slow death.
  • Southeast Township Days-Troy Blundell mentioned that we need to have a meeting to start work on this yearís events before our next meeting. Bear Park is reserved but we have people calling who want to participate in the event and schedule space. Meeting scheduled for 29 March, 2012 at 7pm.

He mentioned that Lanelle Sanchez who was with him to our meeting would like to participate on the Council, if that would be possible. She lives in District 2 at 800 Carnation Drive and would be willing to serve on the Council. A motion was made by Paul Smith to appoint Lanelle Sanchez as the District 2 representative in place of Mary Johnson who has quit coming to the meetings. Motion seconded and approved. Her information has been sent to the other Council members and is posted on the web-site. Paulina Flint mentioned that there are two vacancies on the White City Water Company Board this year and if anyone in the area is interested they need to look for notices of the vacancies on the positions. There are two Board members having serious health problems and will need to be replaced. A recommendation was made to prepare a letter or plaque to send to Art Kimball to honor his for his service.
  • Meeting was adjourned at 7:58 pm.
